In Laws of Variation we hear Professor Terrie Moffitt discuss ideas around the general human visual interest in identical twins, evolutionary theory and the importance of variation in human behavior. We see a re-edited version of a 16mm medical training film from 1957. The original film is a rich, colorful depiction of two sets of identical twins being born. The overwhelming magnificence and trauma of these events is played out for the camera - literally presented directly to the lens of the camera.
